Boiler Supplier & Installer in Liverpool: Choosing and Fitting the Right Boiler
One supplier for the boiler and the fitting, so the appliance you buy and the installation it needs are decided together rather than by two separate people with two separate opinions.
Fully fitted from £1,299 · FREE Gas Safety Certificate with every new boiler
Buying a boiler is not the same decision as buying most other appliances, because the right choice depends on things you cannot see from a spec sheet: your incoming gas supply, your mains water pressure and flow rate, how many bathrooms need hot water at once, and where a flue can actually go on your particular property. A supplier who only sells the box, without also fitting it and understanding your specific installation, is guessing at half the decision.
Harrison E Jones Heating supplies and fits Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Baxi, Heatline and Main boilers across Liverpool, Knowsley, Halton and St Helens. New boilers are fully fitted from £1,299, with a FREE Gas Safety Certificate issued with every new boiler installation, and the full specification and price are agreed in writing before work starts.
This page is about the buying decision itself: which brand, which type of boiler, and whether supply-and-fit or buying separately actually makes sense.

Boiler Supplier Services We Cover
Why supply and fit beats buying a boiler separately
Boilers bought online or from a merchant without an installation attached come with a manufacturer's standard warranty, but that warranty is typically shorter, or conditional on separate proof of professional installation and registration, compared with the extended cover that comes through a manufacturer's approved installer scheme. Buying separately also puts the sizing decision entirely in your hands, with no engineer's assessment of your actual hot water demand and gas supply behind it.
With supply and fit, the boiler, the installation and the paperwork come from one place, and if anything is wrong with the sizing or the fitting there is no argument between a retailer and an installer about whose responsibility it is. We size the boiler against your property before we quote it, not after you have already bought one that turns out to be the wrong output.
The brands we fit and why we stick to them
We fit Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Baxi, Heatline and Main. These are established manufacturers with a long track record in UK domestic heating, reliable parts availability, and installer networks that mean a fault years down the line does not depend on finding an obscure component from a brand that has since disappeared from the market.
We do not sell every brand on the market, because fitting a smaller, known range means we carry the common parts, know the quirks of each model, and can commission and fault-find on them quickly. If you have a strong preference for a brand outside that range, we will tell you honestly if we are not the right installer for that particular boiler.
Combi, system or heat-only: which type actually suits your house
A combi boiler heats water directly from the mains on demand, with no tank or cylinder needed, which suits smaller properties with one bathroom and straightforward hot water demand. A system boiler works with an unvented cylinder to store hot water, which suits properties with two bathrooms or higher simultaneous hot water demand, because a cylinder can supply two outlets at once in a way a combi cannot. A heat-only boiler works with a separate cylinder and often a loft tank, and tends to suit older properties or specific system designs already in place.
We measure your incoming mains pressure and flow rate before recommending a type, because a combi boiler is only ever as good as the mains supply feeding it, and a poor supply will produce disappointing performance regardless of how good the boiler itself is.
Boiler installation: matching the appliance to the property
Installation covers connecting the new boiler to the existing gas supply, water system and electrics, fitting the flue to current regulations, and commissioning the appliance so it runs at the correct settings for your system. Where the existing pipework, gas supply or flue route is not suitable for the new boiler, we say so before work starts rather than fitting around a limitation and hoping it does not cause problems later.
Every new boiler installation includes a FREE Gas Safety Certificate, and new boilers are fully fitted from £1,299, with the final price depending on the boiler chosen and the amount of existing pipework and flue work that can be reused.
Combi boiler installation in detail
A combi installation typically replaces either an existing combi or a conventional system with a tank and cylinder, in which case removing the redundant tank and cylinder and re-piping to a single sealed system is part of the job. The appeal of a combi is simplicity: no cylinder to maintain, no tank taking up loft or airing cupboard space, and instant hot water on demand.
The trade-off is that hot water output is limited by what the boiler can heat instantaneously, so a combi is not the right choice for a household that regularly needs two showers running at the same time.
System boiler installation in detail
A system boiler installation includes an unvented cylinder, which stores hot water at mains pressure and can supply multiple outlets simultaneously without the pressure drop a combi would show under the same demand. This suits larger households and properties with two bathrooms, at the cost of needing space for the cylinder.
Because the cylinder is unvented and pressurised, it needs to be sized correctly and fitted with the correct safety devices, which is standard practice for us but worth knowing if you are comparing quotes that do not mention it.
Boiler replacement: like-for-like or a change of type
A boiler replacement can mean fitting the same type of boiler in the same position, which is usually the most straightforward and least disruptive option, or it can mean changing type entirely, for example moving from a heat-only system with a tank and cylinder to a combi. A change of type is a bigger job because it involves more pipework alteration, but it can be worth it where the existing system no longer matches how the household actually uses hot water.
We will recommend a like-for-like replacement where it is genuinely the right fit, rather than upselling a system change that is not needed.
Questions
Boiler Supplier: Frequently Asked Questions
Is supply and fit more expensive than buying a boiler online?
It can appear more expensive on the boiler alone, but it includes correct sizing, installation, commissioning and certification, all agreed as one fixed written price, rather than separate costs and separate liability if something is wrong.
How do I know if I need a combi or a system boiler?
It depends mainly on your number of bathrooms and simultaneous hot water demand, and your incoming mains pressure and flow rate, which we measure before recommending either.
What is included in the price when a new boiler is fully fitted from £1,299?
The exact scope depends on the boiler and the property, and is set out in writing before work starts; every new boiler installation includes a FREE Gas Safety Certificate.
